Traverse City
Kids On The Go is a Michigan based pediatric non-profit program designed to provide special needs children (3-17 years) with physical, occupational and speech therapy during the summer months. In 2019, Kids on the Go collaborated with local therapists and community members in Traverse City to create a new camp program in a great new location.
The mission of Kids On The Go….. is to recognize and facilitate the goals of children with special needs and to further develop their current skills through therapeutic and wellness programs for the children and their families.
Our vision….. is to provide a safe environment that will foster opportunities for growth, inclusion and provides valuable resources for our community.
After an incredible 5 years of hard work and dedication, Dr. Natalie Ramsey is stepping down from her role as Director of Kids On The Go in Traverse City. We welcome our new Regional Director, Shannon McEnroe, to the team!
Program Registration and Scholarship Information:
Kids On the Go, Traverse City is “on the go” for summer 2024!
We are excited to announce our “Pop Up” Programs for Summer 2024. Spots are limited for our Yoga and Adventure Hike programs. We ask that enrollment requests be completed by Friday, June 14th, 2024 so we can have an accurate t-shirt order!
All Kids On The Go programs are offered on a scholarship basis and fully funded by our generous sponsors. Following completion of the google form for enrollment requests, you will receive additional information from Shannon – our Traverse City Regional Director or another KOTG staff member.
Completing the enrollment request google form does NOT guarantee that your child will be able to participate in the program/date chosen until you have received AND accepted the scholarship offer by the given due date from the TC Kids On The Go Regional Director. You will also be notified if your camper has been waitlisted and will receive further information if a scholarship becomes available.
If your child receives a scholarship, additional information such as a health appraisal form signed by your child’s physician (KOTG will provide the form), IEP documentation, etc. will be requested.
Yoga
Campers will address mobility, sensory integration, strengthening, emotional regulation, and speech skills in this imaginative and fun group setting supported by speech pathologists, yoga professionals, and volunteers. Programming is custom designed for children with special needs ages 3 to 12 years old and meets 45 minutes per week.
Yoga will be split into two groups and is available on three dates, please feel free to request one, two, or all three sessions!

- Wednesday, July 17th
- Wednesday, July 24th
- 3 – 5 years old:
- 9:00am – 9:45am
- 6 – 12 years old:
- 10:00am-10:45am

Adventure Hike
Campers ages 8 years old and up will explore the great outdoors while addressing social skills, mobility, sensory integration, and environmental education. All hikes will be 1 mile or less and campers will be supported by a physical therapist, speech pathologist, and volunteers.
There will be three dates available and all hikes will take place at 3pm. Please feel free to request one, two, or all three sessions!

***NOTE: Parents are required to stay on site for the duration of the hike.

Family Fun Day
Bring the whole family to celebrate Summer 2024 with Kids On The Go – Traverse City at the Civic Center Pavillion on Wednesday, August 7th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm for a snack and some fun outdoor activities.
Families will have a chance to meet the Kids On The Go staff and volunteers, as well as other campers and their families. While our summer programs look different this year, we still want to celebrate another fantastic summer with Kids On The Go in Northern Michigan!
Please RSVP for the number of family members attending using the link below by Monday, July 29th so we can ensure we have enough snacks and activities for everyone to enjoy!
